Recap

I know I should have posted my show recap by now, but I’ve been busy as I had to take the muffin to the doctor today, then lunch and ice cream, of course. We also had some excitement here in the neighborhood after I got home last night. We were privy to one of those insane thunderstorms that produced lightening often enough there looked to be a giant strobe light periodically lighting the sky. It was one of those amazing storms when I tried to capture a few image’s of the veining lightning fingers reaching across the sky, some seemingly several miles long, but every time I'd grab my camera the bright flashes would stop. And then I couldn't enjoy it, I was just looking at the storm through my viewfinder, so I gave up after awhile and just enjoyed the show. In between the high horizontal electrical spidering were very close, huge vertical bolts of lightning, and immediate booming thunder in accompaniment. Apparently, one hit its target four houses down. The street was filled with fire trucks, ambulances, and cops long after I fell asleep. If you go to the link you’ll see a perfect example of our absurd and creepy local news, which I never watch for this reason. As likely as it is that there are meth labs in this neighborhood, there is no way that the fire wasn’t caused by lightning that struck the house. Assholes. Seeing those families out on the street also brought back some fucked up feelings/memories of when I almost lost one of my best friends (for the second time) in an apartment fire a long time ago (unfortunately, I lost him from my life later, due to my own stupidity). The stuff associated with that issue kept creeping in my head last night, making it hard for me to concentrate while I was writing.

I was a little preoccupied wondering if I was going to have to start grabbing photos and stuff since they seemed to have trouble putting it out, and I had no idea what was going on because I don't get local channels. Plus, I was pretty exhausted, so I fell asleep fairly early. I’m working on the recap now, but it’s getting really long and needs to be seriously chopped. I hope to post it later tonight.

UPDATE: I may not finish tonight. It's already more than 4 pages, single spaced, and rather than slicing it, I keep adding more, and I'm getting pretty tired (as you could have probably guessed, it's not only about the show, but great deal of it is, so far anyway). Just posting in the off chance that someone gives a shit.

UPDATE II: Fortunately, I can say I'm cured (for now)! When I do have time to sit down, I can't stop writing. Unfortunately, the "recap" is even longer and more convoluted now, and is giving me fits editing it as I keep remembering stuff to add, while removing pointless shit and excessive gushing. I should be done sometime late tonight if everything goes well. Sorry, crazy day.
