Earthquake In W. Illinois!

I was just woken up out of my sleep by a 5.2 earthquake based along the Indiana/Illinois border! It was strong enough to get me up and then last another 15-20 seconds. As I watched the swinging paper lantern next to me, I wondered if was just from the fan, and I had dreamed the shaking, or could it have been a REALLY big truck? I ran in here to check the USGS Earthquake Center (something I used to do quite often after living in the SF Bay Area off and on for 10 years), but the quake hadn't shown up yet, so I was perplexed. Just then, my partner came down stairs and confirmed that he had also felt it while he was shaving. When I went back to the USGS site it was up, and it was a big one! I haven't felt one that strong since we lived in CA, and even then it had been a long time since there had been one of that size (that I remember). I hope everyone is OK closer to the epicenter. Earth excitement at 5 o'clock in the morning!

Updated at 7:30am to reflect the correct magnitude.
