I'll probably be blogging sporadically over the next week as I am getting my family and household prepared for my leaving for PA on Sunday morning, and I won't be back until at least Wednesday night. Until I leave, I suspect if I'm posting at all, it'll mostly be at night, as I don't have time to do much news scanning today (and I'm finally getting out of the fucking house for the night after the game), and will be busy tomorrow. Doing a thorough job of trying to talk myself out of it, as usual, but because I just found out the babysitter is confirmed, my last excuse is gone. Now I just have to decide on when and where the fuck I'm laying my head at night. No major panic because I'm pretty well detached from it, just lack of motivation to drive that far and back again by myself. I have the feeling panic will set in sometime in Eastern KY, or mid-Ohio if I go via Western PA (instead of Maryland to where my mom has a part time apartment).
Also, as an aside, I recently got Duran Duran's Astronaut for the first time and I have to say it is fan-fucking-tastic. I can not get sick of it. I realize I may be the last person on earth to learn of this album, and maybe I just have always loved Simon LeBon a little too much, but I just have to say if you like them and/or good dance music, it's an excellent album top to bottom.
