Cesca's Endorsement

There is a new wonderfully written post on The Huffington Post by Bob Cesca endorsing Senator Barack Obama as the only candidate who can rejuvenate hope for the American Dream. I concur, and I hope everyone has a chance to get out and see him orate in the flesh because he is truly an impressive communicator. I have never supported a candidate for President that I truly felt embodied hope for real change. I am not only energized by Senator Obama, in fact, I believe in him. I think this country, all of it, is a ready for a new face and new ideas, someone who hasn’t been around so long as to let his cynicism rule his conscience.

I took these pictures in September of '06 at the first rally in Louisville. They kept the stupid fucking Baseball nets up, so a lot of the pictures didn't come out clear, which sucks, because there were a lot of good ones. I am reminded that someone had let off a loud single firework to the north of the Field outside the stadium while he was speaking, it startled a lot of people for a second and served as a reminder that this man is sacrificing himself wholly for what he believes in, and a lot of that is us as citizens of what used to be, and can be again, a great nation.

I rather like the second photo, for my own selfish reasons.
