I can't help but think that once Democrats/libs realize in order to get what they want -- the appearance and feeling of a moral high ground -- they're going to have to actually capitulate to, at the very least, moderate progressives, they'll be looking for a "moderate" on the right to cast their ballot for. If McCain were still alive and of sound-ish mind they'd be jumping at the chance to vote for him over any kind of marginally left leaning candidate.
It's amazing to me how obviously people been conditioned to make excuses for the more egregious moral depravity that can easily be seen and heard on the little propaganda machine in your pocket if you take less than a minute to seek it out. It's nothing new, but now it's so obvious that the act of actively ignoring the suffering they themselves cause has become so disgustingly a public part of their policy it's had to become such a large part of the growing movement. It's now an attack or offense to simply holdup a giant mirror to those who have chosen to lose their sense of morality or right/wrong just so they can sleep at night on a nice comfy bed, in an unnecessarily large house, devoid of any real emotions, in a neighborhood filled with empty, hate-filled slaves and bootlickers, whose sole purpose is to convince each other that they're doing nothing wrong and the billionaires love us and know what's best for us, or rather, them.
