This game has the potential to do something I never thought was possible: unite Flyers and Rangers fans, hopefully, due to their disdain for that fucking piece of shit, Palin, as she walks on the ice at the Wachovia Center (how fitting). If you don't know the history, we HATE one another and Rangers fans always show up in Philly and vice versa. This could also be a hilarious piece of sports history. She won't fall, as she'll walk out on the customary red carpet (that she'll probably think they brought in especially for her), but I noticed there were no odds on someone chucking a beer at her head, IN PHILLY for fucks sake. Someone dropped the ball on that one. Politics and hockey don't mix and Snider just gave me a brand new reason to want to see bloody orange and black jersey's today. Fuck the cunty Flyers and their new puckbunny. This had better not look like a fixed ass game or I might need a new television tomorrow.
Awesome (from Keystone Progress via Sudbay).
Umm, that was extremely satisfying. I swear I think they pumped in barely audible fake cheers (or maybe there were about 100 loud chicks) that were still drowned out by boos. I saw Rangers and Flyers fans standing next to one another with their thumbs down yelling at her. It went on the entire time she was out there. Awesome. I knew my hockey people wouldn't let me down. Will post.
Now let's get down to business. Game on bitches.
I'm not dumb enough to think a Rangers/Flyers game is over in the first period, but anyone check the score (4-0 Rangers)? We just chased Biron, and Dubie -- a young Alaskan player who is not a fighter by any stretch, and made it clear in a polite manner he is not a Palin fan before the game -- just knocked the shit out of the Flyers CAPTAIN (Richards) after Briere's pussy shot on Vally. Methinks those 10 people cheering for her might be cursing her about now.
For the record, everyone knows that second goal was a gift. The third is going to be nasty. Fuck, I hate and love these games.
Cunty-cunty fixed-ass game. We'll be lucky to make it out with a win.
Deeelicious. 4-0 since the 89-90 season. We won 4 games in the entire month of October last year. Sometimes you just can't save a shitty team, Danny.
Too Funny. They're discussing the "distractions" and "The Curse of Sarah Palin" on MSG. The Rangers (Obama) with the big lead, the Flyers (McPalin) playing dirty, getting outside help from the refs and all kinds of breaks in order to close the gap, but the better, more solid and steady team pulled it out. Yep, sounds about right.
The video out there that I've seen, so far, sounds NOTHING like it did on MSG. When there is footage available that doesn't mix out the boos, I'll post. On Americablog, a reader said that the music was drowning out the disgust on Comcast. You couldn't hear any music on the MSG broadcast, only a loud wave of boos and a VERY slight smattering of cheers when she first walked out. The crowd noise completely drowned out any music on MSG (and our surround sound). Interesting.
And what a piece of shit for having her little girl out there knowing she'd get booed alongside her mom. If they had thought there would be an even amount of cheers and boos Palin would have worn a Flyers jersey. Instead, her 7 year old daughter did. Gross. That's my take anyway. Off to watch the Sharks/Kings.
Adding (this is it for now, I promise) John watched her introduction live and thought I was nuts for thinking there was any cheering for Palin at all. He actually has really good hearing, unlike me. He also did not hear any music. MSG always has high quality ice level and crowd audio (on the right surround setting, when I want to, I can usually get rid of Sam and Joe's - almost wrote J.D.- audio and just basically listen to the game and the crowd), this is why I think that feed is probably more accurate. When this game is over I'll look around and see what I can find, even though it's likely nobody cares but me.
And thanks for reading my hyper/crazy shit. :)
Bizarre. This is a little more like it, but I'm telling you, we couldn't hear any music at all. Makes me love MSG and their techs all the more (and our awesome receiver). I love how Scotty (Gomez) looks like he'd rather Palin act as if she doesn't know him (he's also from Alaska). And notice how she treats her little one as she moves forward to drop the puck. I'm not saying anything, just more body language observations.
And on a personal note, with the Sharks win, I'm 6 and 0, mofos.
