You know, unfortunately there have been a sect of Obama supporters that are, at best, misguided. I may have been guilty of the same stupid shit out of anger/frustration at some point over the past few months. There has been a lot of talk about Clinton supporters being only high school educated and if they just had a little more education they'd be wise enough to know better. While in theory that may be true, the Clinton supporters I know are not stupid, regardless of their education. They're just caught up in something (the wrong side of it, if you ask me), and like many political minded people have been trained to do, they made up their minds out of retaliation, loyalty to one's gender, and/or lack of recognition/trust in Senator Obama and are sticking with it. This was, to me, why it was so important to fill those gym's from the very beginning. Some people need to find comfort in the fact that others trust and believe in something. All I'm saying is, please, let's remember why we're democrats. We know there is a huge void in overall education in this country, especially right now. Can we not write the Republican script for them? Please stop calling Clinton supporters stupid or implying that you're smarter than they are because you didn't have to drop out of high school for whatever reason (like my partner), or were fortunate enough to obtain a degree (unlike myself). While it may be true, when it's pointed out in a condescending way, it just makes us look like the assholes that the right is always trying to convince those poor folks that we really are. Although, I don't think it's necessarily true at all. My partner is smarter than many college educated people I know, and I know I have more knowledge of how the world works than some that have a degree. Let's stop shitting on those whom we're supposed to be helping, protecting, and defending. These ARE democrats, people, even if they make the wrong choice in the primary, we don't want to lose them in the general.
To clarify: I don't have a stick up my ass, I can laugh at just about anything. I'm talking about the smell their own farts crowd that seem to enjoy looking down on those who haven't had the benefit of higher education, which is A LOT of fucking people to be discounting as irrelevant and stupid. Those people need to be a little more precise in point they're trying to make, or shut the fuck up for the next six months.
