I wonder if anyone will return after that last post. What can I say, I loves my freaks.I thought I'd share what I'm working on. I found these in my dad's cedar chest when I was looking through it for pictures a few weeks ago. They were apparently my grandfather's when he was just a little boy. You can see on the inlay it says X-Mas 1926 , which would have made him 8 years old (it actually says "X-mas", my family weren't big church-goers, my grandfather was a mason). It's a workbook with all different sorts of activities, which is pretty cool tracing the lines with my finger that my grandfather colored 82 years ago, especially since he's been gone since
1987. I plan on scanning all kinds of stuff, but I have to be careful handling it, because some of it is falling apart. There are also old comic books such as Batman number 133 (1960) -not in good condition, though, a part of the Courier Journal dated November 28th 1948, the frontpage of The Louisville Times dated April 4th, 1949, with lots of good stuff on the pages, and another whole editorial section of The Courier Journal dated July 7, 1946. The top lead states, "Taft Peeks Left, But Stays 'Sound'; Worried Old Guard feels his 'socialism' is camouflage for '48." It has some priceless political
cartoons, too. And I thought my preserved copy of TCJ's Nixon's resignation was a satisfying find amongst his mess. Good stuff. If people seem interested in this stuff I'll post more of it.----------------
