The Penelope Spheeris movie that is still regarded as the best punk documentary ever made, at least by those that don't hate the LA scene. She has been teasing us about releasing it on DVD for years. Copies are fairly hard to find, and even a shitty VHS recording can go for at around $40.00 (many of the DVD bootlegs are of horrible quality). This is the Germs portion of the video; they were known for their insane live shows because Darby Crash was a true freak, but also a lyrical genius. In the studio they were one of the best punk bands of all time. One of my all time favorites, that's for sure.
And that's Pat Smear, in case you didn't know, Joan Jett was their "manager" when they first started out (and produced their only studio album), and Belinda Carlisle was their second drummer (who never played a live show), she was supposedly known to be a freaky "slut", really.
