The WGA is working to strike individual deals with independent production companies, and it appears Dave and Worldwide Pants just got the waiver they'd been wanting. As Nikkie Finke, the go-to gal for inside info since the beginning of the strike, points out it's a divide and conquer strategy that will be harder to get bigger production companies to follow suit, but at least it helps a little bit to devalue the power that the big 6 have, while putting CBS/Viacom in an interesting position.
