It cannot be stated often or loudly enough that corporate propaganda, its bots, paid trolls, and just plain ole chaos junkies are still corralling and swaying public attention on every topic on every site on the internet and as well as in old media.  When they aren't able to do so in the face of facts and evidence, their inflated numbers are still used by politicians and corporations for sweeping changes against the will of the majority of actual humans who don't stand to gain anything other than collective human rights. I don't even trust that network televised view counts aren't vastly inflated (such as the super bowl) and don't include bots since they now include streaming numbers. Until there is an actual investigation into the role this artificial data plays -- by who, I don't know since most entities that stand to benefit from not solving the false representation problem are likely promoting and utilizing it while controlling who and what is regulating it -- how can we trust any public numbers that aren't measured by an independent human or an independent smart program that knows how to account for corporate/state influence? There is an unabated massive ongoing theft transferring the wealth from the bottom 99.9% to the .01% while creating a police state out in the open with manufactured and artificial consent so we can never feasibly get back the expectation for global basic human rights again. Hate/chaos addicts, bots, and troll farms play a pivotal role in the information war and it's crazy to me how little it's talked about.
