Happy Birthday Senator Obama!

I actually put this together a while ago and never did anything with it. I figure today is as good a day as any. Despite the respectability I usually try to apply regarding Senator Obama's stature and popularity sometimes it falls apart for a moment when he flashes that smile and says something cute. I believe this is true for myself as well as my others in my generation partly because he is of the top end of that age group of first crushes we had as young girls and boys. I've highlighted some of my crushes who were born that year (some fairly embarrassing), and also included some other people of interest born in 1961. A couple of the highlighted are, admittedly, more recent crushes, and a few were more my sister's than mine. Because she's about 4 1/2 years older (early 73) than me ( late 77), I had quite an inclusive range of an acceptable ages, one that allowed guys such as Judd Nelson (1959), Sean Penn (1960), John Cusack(1966), River Phoenix (1970) as well as, shamefully, the Kirk Cameron's and Corey's (who cares when they were born?). But it does explain, for me a little, anyway, why a school-girl grin creeps across my face whenever he says something witty and punchy. Something I should probably not be admitting, but I don't really work at hiding, and I know I'm one of several million. Trust me.
