Congratulations USA women! Awesome patience, amazing defense, confidence and composure. Goddammit, I love our beautiful girls. Carli Lloyd stepped up big time, everyone did. Hope Solo, who is always solid, was absolutely clutch behind that determined back line. Awesome game against a great (but highly overrated) team, a horrible ref and blind linesmen. Easily the worst called game of the tournament. That's how good this team is. We still won, while missing the best player in the world in Abby Wambach (Marta's great, but not the best, if she'd stop diving and whining she might get more respect). I know, I'm a mean bitch, but with how much I wanted to punch half of those chicks in the face during the match for dirty play, this is the nicest I can be. This is sport, I get emotional about teams I don't like, and about the ladies I absolutely adore. I'm still shaking from the adrenaline and am pretty hoarse from yelling at the television. I'm just sad there is no more games to watch. This is the beginning of a new era in women's soccer and I couldn't be more excited.
