Divide and Conquer

I just stumbled upon this video here while looking for footage of Senator Wayne Morse (some below, if you like). Tim Wise delivers an important lecture on the elitist divide and conquer strategy, from slavery to Katrina in nine and a half concise minutes.

I don't know why it's not pointed out more often that in order to control the narrative and tone in our never-ending election cycles, the media applies the same strategies they use in promoting and perpetuating war. While they're attempting to seem relatively more critical of the war (sort of, and only after being caught as White House propagandists several times since this sham began), five years into a complete disaster they helped to create, they're helping to elect the next war president, simultaneously alienating the real "maverick." From "War Made Easy,"

Update: I surely don't want to leave out Barbara Lee...
