Reuters Hack

As John Aravosis points out, Reuters is still on the corporate media list, too. While I don't gobble on Gore's nob like most people I otherwise respect have been known to do (I don't consider Aravosis a Gorite), I do know that starting a piece in this manner seems to simply serve as little more than a reminder of a 2000 election talking point, in an effort to tie 2000 and 2004 together with 2008, as if it's all just one continuous sham election. Low and behold, Clinton is back in the news, too (via ABC, shock!). Where's Janet Reno? While link is to an op-ed, that was way too easy considering she was the very first name that came to mind. Anyway...

From Thomas Ferraro:
Al Gore, long mocked as an exaggerating bore, seems certain to land a lead role at the Democratic National Convention as an internationally recognized defender of the Earth. (emphasis Aravosis')
From Aravosis:
This is typical of the daily bs we have to deal with in the corporate media. They simply don't know how to do their jobs anymore.
They're doing exactly what they know their job to be: a corporate mouthpiece, central/common agenda or not.

So if it's been established (a long fucking time ago) that almost all of the news that most citizens rely upon is limited and biased in one way or another, for profit or otherwise, and most people, unfortunately, don't read Media Matters, is it time to start handing out leaflets door to door?
