I regretted the first post as soon as I posted it, 'twas kind of a blubbering spew of raw shit that I shouldn't have posted. Waaaay too personal. I'll just say that much of the faith in humans that gradually built up over the past 6 months or so, mostly from being around fellow Obama supporters, is uncontrollably sliding away. Some folks are just short-sighted and full of shit, and every once in awhile I'm reminded of that with a walloping thud. I have spent too much time addicted to this campaign and my health is suffering (though it probably has more to do with many other stifled/bottled stresses). Panic attacks are creeping back in and I don't know why. Now that the nomination is secure, I'm going to take it easy for the next week. I'll post when I feel like something needs repeating, but don't expect much, I'd rather not post at all if I'm just going to be negative, offering nothing of value all the fucking time. I'm not a summer person anyway, so I can get kind of pissy in the heat and mugginess (it's 93 feels like 97 right now, I can't stand the fucking humidity). I am looking into getting a cabin for us for a few days within the next few weeks, so hopefully I'll be a little more relaxed after that. If I could afford to do the travel, I'd go to Bonnaroo, or to see Mike Birbiglia next week, but there's no way I could convince her daddy to watch her for 3 days, and it's the busy (insane) season, so he works 7 days a week. The next time I have plans to do anything fun is on July 19th (Louis C.K. in Nashville), so until then, I'll have to create my own fun and relaxation, and staying glued the news is anything but helpful in that endeavor. I doubt they'll have internet access at the lake, so I better start weaning myself now. When I get back, I'm going to resume writing the serious (stress/tension inducing) shit, planning my summer campaign trips, culminating at the DNC in Denver in August, and my side trip to Woody Creek as the cherry on top while I'm in CO. Seems like a long time from today, but I know it'll go by quickly, and there will, hopefully, be lots of trips in between, so I gotta rest up. Thanks for reading, even if I don't understand it. If you don't stick around, I totally understand.
