Senator Obama just spoke about the attacks on him yesterday by McSame while on the stump in South Dakota. He just did a damn good job not only calling out McCain for being a hypocrite, calling for civility then a few hours later joining Bush in his attack on Obama, "and other democrats", but he continued on to make the case of why a vote for McCain is a vote for Bush. I love this man. They don't get it, they've been winning this information war out of fear and laziness by our politicians and press. This man is no longer going to allow that to happen. This isn't a battle they can win.
"It's not going to work this time, it's not going to work this year." No more scripted press conferences, no more treating our 4th estate with contempt, no matter how inept they are. We will have a president that understands that the media is not just a mouthpiece to manipulate the public. It's a way to communicate with the people, he understands it's supposed to be a two-way street, the press is supposed to reflect us and our concerns. Can you imagine integrity in 24 hour news coverage, CNN looking more like Link TV or FreeSpeech TV? I don't know, but man, it gets me excited thinking about it.
