Another Wasted Day

I will probably go into it more later, but I am a little suspicious of this McClellan book, the tone of the juicy tidbit type narrative it is creating before the book has even been released, and its timing. Seems like some shiny key shaking from the past to me.

And then there's the other tired topic, I am so sick of these games.
Ah, won't it be fun when this stuff is over? (Jed)
I'm taking a fucking vacation, however short, sometime after this weekend, or going to Denver might send me into hysterical anxiety.

Jed also takes a realistic look at those polls Clinton keeps talking about.

I'll tell you why she would never do better than Obama will against McCain, regardless of any poll, because given the shit they'll have to continue to pull to get the nomination, people just won't vote for her in November. They may not vote for McCain, but they won't vote for her, either. The argument that a vote for McCain is a vote for Bush fits just a little too similarly in the way that they're practicing their politics and the lack of respect that they the have for the voters of this country. Most moderate republicans won't cross party lines for another Clinton, and many uninformed moderate Democrats still think McCain is a better choice. And if she steals the nomination to run against McCain by single-handedly making sure Obama is "unelectable", and not because he was to begin with, there goes the black/Independent/progressive vote. She can't win against McCain.

I guess if there is one good thing to come out of all this is everyone knows more than they ever wanted to about the current nominating process. I don't know what pains me more, how much the Clinton's have skated by with their horrid behavior, testing/breaking the system, or that because a large number of democrats are clearly fucking sleepwalking, and will likely allow the Clinton's to annoy the piss out of us, and an Obama administration, while trying to restore their cum-stained legacy.
