Wow, what a couple of fucking amazing parallel seasons! The Sharks fighting up until the end for the Presidents Trophy and home ice throughout, securing The Pacific Division and 2nd overall with a week left to play. Both completed their respective tasks by beating their division rivals at the end of the season. The Rangers pressed through a prolonged shitty power-play drought and tough times for offensive production to clinch with only two games remaining. Nabby, by far the best goalie in the league, should win the Vezina, he and Thornton both should be up for the Hart. King Henrik broke all kinds of team records (many held by my favorite goalie of all time, Mr. Richter) and has the most shutouts of any goalie this season (10). The Captain's are both turning it on at just the right time. Could they meet in the end? Ooohh holy fuck, I would never need to see another hockey series. Or will they both lose in 4 and be out in the first round? Or will the refs control play from the beginning of every single game during the post season, preventing the better men from winning (whichever NHL team that may be)? Who fuckin' knows, but two months from today we'll have a much better idea. Go take the post season, Sharks in the West and Rangers in the East!!!
