Living In The Past

What is it, 1998? All of these issues were important a decade ago, and it seems that these situations have only gotten worse due to Federal negligence and corruption:

Fair Trade:
Chris in Paris at AmericaBlog and his take on Fair Trade. Dean Cycon: a Fair Trade Leader

Frankenfood & Labeling:
From Kirk Murphy at firedoglake.

Environmental Protections:
The Bullshit EPA's still unable to consider people over profit...
Don't forget: The EPA by law is not supposed to consider economic cost in establishing the federal health standard for air quality. (which goes both ways)
...and the long-term ramifications if they don't make the prudent changes.

These are things many were screaming about during the Clinton administration, it's no surprise that almost no progress has been made over the last 7 years in denting any of these issues on the level that is required, on the contrary, the have become much harder to untangle. Just pointing out the obvious.
